It's time for everyone to stand up and take some action here. The fact that Iowa is miles ahead of both New York and California on this issue would be laughable if it wasn't so sad. Two states, in which three of the most progressive, culturally rich cities in the world are located have now legislated bigotry, and officially branded gays and lesbians as unequal under the laws of their state. Can we really sit back and allow this to stand? If so, then Iowans truly deserve the right to look down their noses at us for once.
