nothing on the radio
matches my mind
I want to hear your voice reach out to me
but I am embraced by silence
if you knew my thoughts for you
you would darken
dousing your own flame
inverting your radiance
my own embers begin to falter
& I remain in the diminished glow
for without your irredescence
I haven't the courage to shine
would it be a lie,to show you my secret morning
or would the truth finally dawn
you have become the victim,i pursue
mechanically,as if I could hear you shiver
from beneath the diseases foliage
of silence
which embraces you
if I knew your thoughts
would I too shiver
or would we be reduced to cinders
in the hell of my flame....

fallen angels congregate in a corner huddled
fearful,hateful with huge glazed eyes
as demons torment with questions
such as "how high can you fly with broken wings?"
the old gnarled & dying god

the backdoor swings on broken,but silent hinges
mortals hover with one foot poised inside
never realizing how close they are

neither knowing her secret
the mary isn't all that she seems

not since the night in joey's back seat where she gave her innocence away

with the taking of Gods queen
